We are a dog friendly bar and restaurant with an off leash dog park attached. Our park is membership based, meaning only dogs with a verified account can enter the park. Friendly leashed dogs are always welcome in our bar and dining area.
When you sign up for a membership on our website, we will ask questions about your dogs socialability as well as request a copy of your dog’s vaccination records. We manually check these records before verifying dogs to ensure that dogs are friendly and up to date on shots in order to maintain a safe play space.
We require the following in order to verify your dog:
We understand that everyone’s needs are different so we have created 3 options for joining us at the park:
Dogs are encouraged, but not required!
No- just dogs!
The Dog House serves food dedicated to both our 2 legged and 4 legged clients. We do not allow anything toxic to dogs in our kitchen, and our dog treats are made with special care to ensure that every ingredient is good for dogs.
We do not allow any outside food in order to ensure that everything on site is dog safe. While we do not outwardly ban patrons from eating in the park, we make it clear that you are eating at your own risk.
Our membership standards are put in place to prevent fights in the first place. All staff members have been trained on how to deescalate aggressive behavior and how to break up a fight if necessary.
We have yet to have an actual dog fight since opening.
Numerous studies have found that a fight is more likely to occur when an unfixed dog is involved.
Neutering and spaying dogs reduces hormonal behaviors such as aggression and mounting. These are both behaviors that can stimulate stress amongst dogs and can cause aggressive behavior and fights. In addition, fixed dogs can sometimes react negatively towards hormonal scents. This can cause an unfixed dog to be “picked” on.
Your unfixed dog is always welcome to sit in the bar or dining area with you. For everyone’s safety though, only fixed dogs can be in the off leash section.
We provide plenty of tennis balls and other toys for your dog to play with in the park. We recommend leaving toys at home as some dogs can be territorial over their toys.
